Hey Matt!
Quit directing so many Webby Award nominated videos, would ya!
3 of my videos are nominated for a Webby! Not shown in the picture above is that Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s Star Wars is also nominated for Best Individual Performance! Awesome stuff. Congrats to everyone involved in these videos including writers Dan Gurewitch and Ben Joseph and Creighton DeSimone for producing these.
Skyrim Hoarders. The A&E reality series visits Tamriel and discovers the only thing more dangerous than dragons, is yourself.Hilarious new sketch, written by Emily Axford. I love me some Nordic names.
Obviously reblogging this.
Here’s a new video I directed. If you’re a Skyrim fan I hope you enjoy it, if you’re a Hoarders fan I hope you like our parody of it, if you’re a fan of both this is the perfect video for you to watch today, if you don’t know of either of those things then you’re out of luck, but watch anyway! Starring the great Josh Ruben, Luke Sholl, and Nicole Shabtai, with special guest appearance from Mike Still, this sketch was written by Emily Axford, produced by David Kerns, and shot by Carl Herse. Chance and his team did a great job with the art and Alisha killed it with the wardrobe. Kelly did a phenomenal job with the edit, she literally nailed the look and feel of Hoarders in her first cut. Gloo did the graphics work as always.
Brand new website all finished! Give it a look!
Special thanks to Melissa, Dru, Liz, and Luke.
Let me know what you think!?
“Official Spoiler Rules.” Great work, team!
Here’s a new video I directed. I created the look and feel of this and then Josh Ruben and Creighton DeSimone came in and directed a few of the segments as well. This was a lot of fun to do. Written by Ben Joseph and David Young, produced by numerous people on both coasts, and edited by Sam Jacobson. Fun fact: Sam Jacobson spoiled Battlestar for me while we were in the post process.
The Special Effects of WanderlustWe sat down with David Wain and Ken Marino to talk about The Special Effects of Wanderlust [Like following us on Tumblr? Fan us on Facebook!]
Here is a sketch I wrote with Ben Joseph, also starring Joe Lo Truglio and Kerri Kenney. All four are hilarious and it was really exciting to write for them.
Here’s a new video I directed starring David Wain, Ken Marino, Kerri Kenney, and Joe Lo Truglio. It was a lot of fun working with 4 amazingly talented people who have made me laugh most my life. I hope you enjoy it!
Film students, present and past, please enjoy this sketch written by me and Dan Gurewitch.
A favorite sketch written by two of my favorite sketch written-ers ever.
This is really amazing… and frighteningly accurate.
Here’s a video I directed poking fun at Film School and all the silly things we used to do. It was written by Emily and Dan, produced by Creighton, edited by Nick, VO by Kelly, and shot by Carl.
This was super fun to direct because I got to throw in a lot of homages to films my friends and I made. For instance the titles: “If Nick” and “Sorrowful Repentance” are two titles of shorts I made in college (I know). The title “Friday Night Riot” is a throw back to the public access show my friends and I had in high school called, “Tuesday Night Riot.” The shots in the, “Life In The Key Of A-Minor” are all similar to a couple of movies I made in high school and my good friend Bryan made Freshman year of college. Also Bryan makes a guest appearance as Bertrand Peffercorn.
And my favorite homage is the title, “Miles Apart”, which is a reference to a student film my friend Travis directed in college. The film starred a young Josh Ruben and Sam Reich who, at the time, I didn’t know and now I work with. Enjoy it and Reblog it!

You guys, the Siri commercial spoof I directed was named one of the top Internet Comedy Videos of 2011 by Huffington Post. What does that mean? I have no idea but it sounds kinda cool.
Also, I guess you can vote on it to make it number 1? I don’t really know, but click on the picture to go to the page and give it 5 stars because you and I are best friends and that’s what best friends do.
Here’s a sketch I directed starring the cast of Community. This was quite an awesome experience. I got to go on the set of Community, roam around a bit, and shoot a very funny sketch with some great talent. Written by Ben and David, Produced by Spencer and Kerns, Edited by Michael, and featuring some all-star cameos from Futernick and myself. Enjoy and pass around!Save Greendale Ad. David Young and I had the really cool opportunity to write a short sketch (directed by Matt Pollock) for the cast members of our favorite show on television. Enjoy!
I second what Ben said. This took a while to produce because of schedules and what not, but I’m so glad it finally exists!
Ben and I wrote short comedy videos starring Michael Buble and Ed Helms, for Buble’s upcoming NBC special A Michael Buble Christmas. NBC just posted this short; the others will be on the show. I’m a big fan of both of these guys, so it was very exciting to get to write for them.
Fans of silly names will be happy to hear that their 70s alter-egos are named Frank Valhalla and Rogers Duffy.
PS: Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for the write-up!
Here’s one of the sketches I directed/edited that will air during Michael Bublé’s NBC Christmas Special on December 6th. Dan and Ben killed it with these scripts and everyone on the production side worked their butts off to get this thing made in a quick turn around. This is one of the few sketches I’ve directed and edited that still make me laugh after spending weeks working on it. Enjoy and tune in on December 6th to see the rest!
